Engie is a multinational utility company based in La Defense, Courbevoie. It was formed in 2008 by a merger of Gaz de France, and Suez. In 2008 the name was changed from GDF Suez to Engie. Engie is the main energy supplier to 48 countries worldwide, 27 of these countries are European.

What Is Engie’s Hiring Process?
The hiring process for jobs with Engie varies by country. The basic process, however, looks something like this. Search for a job within your area of experience. Make sure you meet all the qualifications before submitting your application and CV. If your application meets all the criteria you will be contacted about the next steps.
For most, the next step is a telephone interview. This is a basic “getting to know you” call where your background will be discussed, and your interest in the position will be gauged. Some candidates may need to follow this interview with assessment tests, for others the next step will be an in-person interview.
You may be interviewed by a panel, or have multiple interviews with different team leaders and project managers. If you seem like you will be an asset to the company you will receive a provisional job offer.
Once you have completed the various background checks and met all the conditions, your start date will be decided on, and you can begin the onboarding process.
Engie Psychometric Tests
Some jobs will require you to complete pre-employment testing. These tests will vary by country, and by the branch of Engie that you have applied with.
These are some of the tests that are most commonly given to candidates in the utility industry.
Cognitive Aptitude Test – If you have taken an SHL or Wonderlic test, then you are familiar with a cognitive aptitude test. This looks at areas that are necessary for learning quickly and performing well on the job: verbal reasoning, numerical reasoning, and abstract reasoning. These tests are multiple-choice, and you will be working under a time limit.
Mechanical Reasoning Test – If you will be working with machinery, you might have to take a mechanical reasoning test. This will assess your knowledge of basic machines, your ability to solve problems in simple mechanical systems, and your applied knowledge of basic physics.
Operations Test – If you will be working in a plant in an engineering or technical role, you may be evaluated on your knowledge of operations. Technical language, programming, and system interactions are areas that may be tested.
Personality Assessment – You may be given a personality test to see if you are a good fit for the company. These surveys are designed to show your motivators, strengths, and work ethic.
