What Is Anthem’s Interview Process?
Application
You can begin your search for careers with Anthem online. Searches can be done by location, or by job title. You will need to sign up for the Anthem Talent Network and save your information, as well as receive job alerts. If your application matches the job qualifications, you will be contacted by a member of the recruiting team to start in the next steps.
Anthem’s Virtual Job Tryout Assessment
Anthem utilizes the Shaker Virtual Job Tryout to assess the talents of prospective employees. The VJT is made up of 8 sections that include:
- Job-Preview – This gives an overview of the skills required to perform the job and test the applicant’s ability to perform those skills.
- Similar Job – Related Tasks- This section is used to test skills that may not be required of the job you have applied for but may be related to a closely related position.
- Test Drive Job Tasks – This section will measure your ability to perform essential tasks.
- On-The-Job Problem Solving – You will be given a series of difficult situations that may occur on the job and will need to determine which action would be the most suitable.
- Work-History Questionnaire – This will go into detail about your past jobs and job experience.
- Simulation Scenarios – This is similar to a situational judgment test. You will be given different work-related scenarios and must decide the best course of action.
- Work-Style Questionnaire – This is a personality test, used to determine what type of worker you are. It will measure different personality traits and see if they match the traits the company finds suitable for the job you have applied for.
Interviews
Depending on the type of job you have applied for, you may be asked to participate in multiple interviews. The first interview is usually a phone screening. The phone screening is used to get more detail about your work-history and clarify any questions the recruiters may have about your resume. You can also use this as a chance to get more detail about the job and the company. Following the screening, if you make a good impression, you may be called for one or more in-person interviews. These may be conducted with just the hiring manager, or with a panel of team members. To make a good impression, and give thorough answers, use the STAR method (a situation, task, action, response). This will provide them with all the information they need to see how you will fit into the company.
How to Prepare for Anthem’s Psychometric Tests?
The most important part of preparing for the online assessment tests is making sure you are familiar with the job description, and the qualifications. Since you will be taking a Virtual Job Tryout it is important that you know which tasks are required of the job, so you know what to expect on the test. Practice any skills that you feel you are not familiar enough with. When taking the test give yourself enough time, and do not rush. Focus on the test and read all the questions thoroughly. Practice will give you the confidence to ace the assessment tests and make your way to the job offer.
