Brinks is a security company with 650 branches and over 7,800 secured transport vehicles. It operates in 150 countries and is headquartered in Richmond, Virginia. Brinks provides secured transportation services to businesses that need to secure money, jewelry, or other valuable goods. Brinks has a separate sister company, Brink’s Home Security which is headquartered in Dallas, Texas, and provides home security services.

What Is Brinks’ Recruitment Process?

Search the Brinks website for a position that seems like a good fit. If you find an opening you would like to apply for, you will need to create an account. You can upload your resume to your account if you would like. Be sure your relevant experience is prominent on your resume.

After your application is submitted, you will receive a link to take one or more assessment tests. These tests are used to help shortlist candidates so the Brinks recruiters can focus on the most qualified applicants.

If you do well on the assessments and have been shortlisted you will be contacted by a recruiter. You will be called for a telephone screening. During this screening, the recruiter will review the benefits of working for Brinks and will go into more detail about the position. During this call, you can ask any questions you have about the job and the company.

If you are still interested in the position, an in-person interview will be scheduled. During the interview, the hiring manager will review your resume, and ask for more detail about your experience. There will be some behavioral questions so the manager can get an idea of your work style and how well your skills translate to the position you are interviewing for. You will have a final chance to ask questions.

After completing a successful background check including drug and medical testing, you will get a call from Brinks’ HR team with an offer.

 

Brinks’ Assessment Tests

Brinks uses psychometric tests to narrow the field of applicants to the best qualified candidates. There may be some job specific skills that are tested for as well as cognitive aptitude. Four of the tests you are most likely to see include:

  • Verbal Reasoning TestThis test shows how well you are able to understand written information and draw logical conclusions. The test is multiple choice, and will consist of short passages followed by questions about what you have read.
  • Abstract Reasoning Test This assessment measures your critical thinking abilities without using letters or numbers. You will have to find the patterns in matrices and shapes, and determine which of the multiple options comes next.
  • Situational Judgment Test When working with money and valuables the ability to make decisions quickly id extremely important. The situational judgment test consists of scenarios that you may encounter on the job. You will need to decide which of the choices you are given is the appropriate way to handle the situation.
  • Personality Survey Since many of the job with Brinks are high pressure, the right personality traits are important. The personality survey will help determine your strengths and weaknesses. You will have to decide how well different descriptions and match your personality, and either rank the choices from most to least like you, or select the best answer.
