What Is Central Square’s Hiring Process?

Online Application

To begin the recruitment process at Central Square, you’ll need to complete an online application and upload a current resume. The application will ask for basic information such as educational history, previous work experience, relevant skills, and contact information.

Applicants who meet the qualification criteria will advance to the assessment portion of the hiring process.

 

Criteria Cognitive Aptitude Test

The Criteria Cognitive Aptitude Test (CCAT) is a pre-employment assessment that measures your problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. The test has 50 multiple-choice questions divided into four sections, and you’ll have only 15 minutes to complete the exam.

 

Verbal Reasoning

The verbal reasoning test will consist of about 17 or 18 questions and will assess four main areas:

Numerical Reasoning

The numerical reasoning section of the CCAT consists of 17 or 18 questions about fundamental mathematical concepts and calculations. You will also need to understand and interpret data in series, tables, and graphs.

 

Abstract Reasoning

The abstract reasoning section will ask you to identify and apply an underlying pattern in a series or grid of images. The sequence or grid will either have a missing figure or an image that doesn’t belong. You’ll need to determine the presented pattern and use that to identify the correct image.

This section of the test consists of 11 questions.

 

Logical Reasoning

The last section of the CCAT is logical reasoning consists of only four questions and only two question types. The first is syllogism which will present several statements and ask you to determine if a concluding statement is true or false based on the information. The second is seating arrangement which will require you to order a list according to a set of rules.

 

Personality Test

Central Square wants to ensure that all candidates are a good cultural fit with the company. The personality test will look at various traits and values you need to perform your job well.

The test will present several statements, and you must determine how much you agree with each sentiment. Remember to keep the company values in mind when answering questions.

 

Central Square Interviews

Those who do well on the assessments will be invited to complete several interviews with human resources and the hiring team.

  • Initial Interview – The first interview will be a screening interview conducted via phone or video conferencing platform.   • In-Person Interview – You will also participate in one or more in-person interviews. These will be with managers or team members and focus on your competency and workplace behavior.
