What Is Panasonic’s Hiring Process?

Online Application

To begin the pre-employment process at Panasonic, you must first create a profile in their Talent Community. You will enter basic demographic and background information and attach a recent resume. From there, you will search for open positions and apply for anything that interests you.

Panasonic’s Interviews

If the hiring team feels you are a good candidate for the position, they will contact you to interview with the company.

You will complete at least two interviews during the recruitment process. The initial phone screening will last about 30 minutes and focus on your background, skills, qualifications, and motivations behind applying for the position. You’ll want to go into this conversation prepared with knowledge about the company and role and the ability to answer questions about anything presented on your application.

The in-person interview will occur later in the hiring process and will focus on your technical ability to perform the tasks required.

Here are a few tips from Panasonic to help you do well during the interview process:

  • Research who is interviewing you before the conversation
  • Make sure you understand the requirements listed for the role
  • Do your homework on the company
  • Show interest in the job and company
  • Ask appropriate questions

Panasonic Psychometric Tests

In addition to the interviews, Panasonic will also ask candidates to complete various assessments to prove they can perform the required tasks. You may encounter two assessments during the hiring process: the Adaptive Reasoning Test (ART) and the Caliper Assessment.

  • Adaptive Reasoning Test – The ART is an online, self-proctored aptitude test with 15 questions. Each question has a time limit of 2.5 minutes, and the questions get progressively more challenging as you answer questions correctly. The questions in the ART are all visual and will assess your cognitive ability and figural reasoning skills. You must identify the pattern in a series of images and select which image comes next in the pattern.
  • Caliper AssessmentYou may also take the Caliper Assessment. This psychometric test focuses on your cognitive ability and personality. You must answer all 98 questions to receive a score, but there is no time limit for the exam. The personality section will assess different character traits that are helpful in the workplace, such as leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. The cognitive area will include questions on number series, abstract patterns, and analogies. Your score on this exam will determine how likely you are to succeed in the role. The test scores range from 1 to 99, and a score of 80 or above will tell Panasonic that you are a strong candidate for the position.

How to Prepare for Panasonic’s Assessments?

Panasonic uses the assessment portion of the hiring process to determine which candidates will be successful in the role. Therefore, it is essential to do well on the exams they provide.

Job seekers preparing for the assessments are likelier to do well than their counterparts. Be sure to include online resources such as practice tests in your preparation. These practice tests will provide sample questions, solutions, and examples to help you understand how to answer the questions during the exam.
