What Is RWE’s Hiring Process?
To get started you need to make an account on the RWE online portal. Upload your CV and cover letter, and take note of any relevant experience. After your application is successfully submitted, you will receive an automatically generated confirmation email.
If your application generates interest you will be contacted for a telephone interview. This first interview will consist of basic questions about yourself and your relevant experience. They may ask you some questions about the role you are being considered for, so knowing the job requirements and duties is strongly recommended.
Some positions require your attendance at an assessment center. This will help them determine which candidates have the best hand on skills and will fit in the best with the existing team. You may be given a psychometric test during the assessment center, or at any point prior to the interviews.
If you are a strong contender you will be invited to an in-person or zoom interview. Depending on the position you applied for, there may be several interviews with different team members. They may be one on one, panel style, or done on a video platform like Zoom. You are encouraged to ask questions during your interview.
RWE’s Online Analytics Test
Graduate scheme applicants and those applying for engineering, logistics, and other highly analytical fields, may be required to take RWE’s online Analytics test. The test is 45 minutes long, and made up of 25 multiple choice questions. If you have ever taken an abstract reasoning test, the format is very similar. Much of the test involves identifying the patterns in a series of shapes, finding the next one in the sequence, or determining which shape does not belong.
RWE’s Assessment Center
The assessment center is a chance for management to get to know your work style, and see how well you work with others. You will be observed as you complete a series of exercises, and things such as leadership skills, and an ability to work well with others will be noted. The assessment center exercise will vary by job, but a basic one looks something like this:
Since so much of the RWE tests involves logical reasoning, this is an area you should study intensely. You will need to get familiar with identifying patterns to successfully take the test. Puzzles like Sudoku can be helpful in increasing your pattern recognition abilities. You can also find online practice materials that can help you track your progress. Make sure you practice solving puzzles while timed so you are used to working under the pressure of a time limit.
