What Is the Hiring Process at STMicroelectronics?

Start the hiring process by submitting your application online. First, create your candidate profile before you begin searching. You must have a profile before you can submit your application. With your profile completed, your CV will be on display for consideration. You can apply for multiple positions and check the status of your application. After you have submitted your application, you will receive a confirmation email.

If you meet all the requirements for the job, expect a call for a screening interview. During the interview, the recruiter will ask questions about your experience. They will also find out if you are still interested in the position. The recruiter may ask you to schedule an in-person interview at this time.

Before you sit for an interview, you might have to take an assessment test. The test helps short-list candidates. Your performance on the test will affect the outcome of your interview. Poor performance on the test means they will not call you for a second interview. Not every position requires assessment testing. Technical positions and internships are the roles most likely to require testing.

You can expect at least two rounds of interviews. One is a behavioral interview. During this interview, they will ask open-ended questions to learn more about your job experience. If you are interviewing for an engineering position, one of your interviews will be technical. This interview might include a technical challenge or puzzle to complete while under observation.

Even a strong worker will not perform their best in the wrong environment.
  • SJT Test Your decision-making abilities are tested with real-world problems. The test presents you with situations you may face while performing your job. Each scenario has a brief list of solutions. Pick the solution that best describes how you would handle each issue.
  • Coding/Programming Challenge – If you are under consideration for a software engineering or digital design position, you may have to take this test. The format of the test will vary depending on the test provider. Some versions have general programming questions followed by a coding challenge. Other versions, like the HackerRank, are a coding challenge that is evaluated based on how well your code performs.
