Subaru’s Aptitude Tests
Many automotive corporations use assessment tests to aid in the hiring process and identify the best talent. Some of the tests look at work style and personality, and others are focused on cognitive ability, which indicates an ability to quickly learn and adapt. These are some of the tests that you may see during the Subaru hiring process.

Numerical Reasoning Aptitude Test – This tests your ability to work with numbers, and determine the correct way to solve a math problem. The numbers may be provided in a table, or in a word problem. You may be doing basic addition and subtraction, or more complex problem-solving with fractions and percentages.
Logical Reasoning Aptitude Test – This will test your ability to think logically without words or numbers. This test is based on pattern recognition. The questions all involve shapes that change in a specific sequence. You need to determine the pattern to find the missing piece of the pattern. This test is multiple-choice and will be timed.

How to Prepare for Subaru’s Assessment Tests?
To make yourself the top candidate you need to be ready for everything the hiring process entails. Part of this is being ready to take the pre-hire assessments. You do not need complex study methods to be ready for the tests. Verbal reasoning can be practiced easily by reading non-fiction, completing crosswords, and looking for specific information in what you are reading to practice information retention. Word problems are a good tool for working with numerical reasoning, and practice estimation as well so you can quickly pick the correct answer from multiple choices and continue to the next problem. If you are in a technical career, use your old study materials to refresh your memory about physics, and use student resources to review mechanical systems.
