Their products are engineered from recycled materials to be sustainable replacements for wood, metal, and other traditional building products. AZEK Company Psychometric Tests
AZEK Company uses assessment tests as part of its hiring process. The tests are used to identify which job-seekers will make the best employees. You will be given a series of psychometric tests that include a cognitive abilities exam, and a personality inventory.
Wonderlic WonScore
The cognitive aptitude test you will be given is the Wonderlic WonScore, originally known as the Wonderlic Cognitive Abilities Test. This test measures the abilities that are important to being able to learn and properly perform a new job. These abilities are problem-solving, abstract thinking, learning retention, and understanding complex concepts.
The test is made up of 50 questions which you will have 12 minutes to answer. All the questions are multiple-choice. The exam will automatically stop after the allotted time is up. The questions will be given in random order. The test is made up of reading comprehension, spatial reasoning, and basic math questions. The questions will get harder as you go along. More difficult questions are weighted more than the easier ones to give a better idea of your cognitive ability.
Personality Inventory
The personality inventory is given to find the candidates that fit into the company the best. The personality inventory will be made up of questions that find your personality profile based on the Five-Factor Model. The traits that are being measured are extraversion, openness, conscientiousness, agreeableness, and neuroticism. These are the traits that lead to long-term job satisfaction and success. Each position has a profile that is tailored specifically to it. Each job-seekers profile will be compared to the model profile for their desired position to find the best fit.
Interviews
The interview process is very simple and straightforward. Following a phone screening with human resources to discuss the position and your qualifications, you will have another phone interview. This interview will be with your potential department manager. Following this, you will be asked to come in and meet the team in-person and have a final interview to see how well you will fit in.
How to Prepare for The AZEK Company’s Tests?
The Wonderlic has a reputation for being one of the more difficult assessment tests. It is given to potential NFL players before they are given an offer. To make sure you have what it takes to get a satisfactory score practice before you take the test. You can get your brain in testing shape by working on word puzzles and sudoku. These require you to use logic to solve them and are good practice. Practice basic math so you are easily able to recognize the function you are supposed to perform. To add to the difficulty, and practice working under pressure, time yourself when working on puzzles and math problems. When you take the test do not let one question run you out of time. If you know you cannot answer it easily, make a guess and move on.
There is one rule when taking a personality test. Be honest. There are no wrong answers, and the answers that seem “right” may be wrong if they conflict with other answers on your profile. Answer in a way that is truthful, and that gives real insight into your work personality.
